Door & Window Chimes
For Families Needing Extra Home Safety Measures
Many individuals with Down syndrome have a tendency to wander. To help caregivers monitor home safety, GSDSS provides sensor packs that include:
One Door Sensor – Alerts caregivers if the door is opened unexpectedly.
Three Window Sensors – Helps monitor exits around the home.
Who Can Apply?
✔️ Must be a GSDSS member.
✔️ Must live with a person who has Down syndrome.

Project Lifesaver Partnership
GPS Tracking for Individuals Who Wander
In partnership with SOS Healthcare, GSDSS provides GPS tracking devices to help families locate their loved ones quickly if they wander. This program is designed for non-verbal individuals or those at high risk of elopement.
Lightweight, waterproof tracking device worn as a bracelet.
24/7 emergency response system for quick location assistance.
Peace of mind for caregivers & loved ones.
Who Can Apply?
Individuals with Down syndrome who are non-verbal or prone to wandering.
Families must be GSDSS members.
